OpenAI API key

This guide explains how to set up your OpenAI API key in Ascend.

Prerequisites

• Paid OpenAI account
• OpenAI API key

Add OpenAI API key to your Ascend Instance

1. In the top-right corner of your Ascend Instance, click on your profile picture and select Settings
2. Navigate to the AI & models section
3. Scroll down to the OpenAI section and click the + button on the right to add a new API key
4. Name the key OPENAI_API_KEY and paste your OpenAI API key value
5. Click Verify to ensure your key is valid, then click Save to store it securely

🎉 Congratulations! You've set up your OpenAI API key in Ascend. You're now ready to use agentic features in Ascend, including Otto!
