Configure Environment Vaults

Environment Vaults provide secure secret management scoped to specific Environments in your Ascend Instance. By default, Ascend provides managed Environment Vaults, but you can configure your own cloud provider Vaults for enhanced control and integration with existing infrastructure.

Supported Environment Vault providers​

AWS Secrets Manager

Configure AWS Secrets Manager as your Environment Vault for secure secret management in Azure environments.

Azure Key Vault

Configure Azure Key Vault as your Environment Vault for secure secret management in Azure environments.

Google Cloud Secret Manager

Configure Google Cloud Secret Manager as your Environment Vault for GCP-native secret management.

Prerequisites​

Before configuring an Environment Vault, ensure you have:

  • An Ascend Environment
  • Administrative access to your chosen cloud provider's secret management service
  • Proper permissions to configure vault access in your Ascend Instance
